I was a modelist, used to drive 2 strokes cars that run @ 100 km/h, and I had a stick-controller.
Since I bought the Parrot Bebop I felt the need to come back to my origin and to be in control of the toy... But the SkyController is WAY overpriced. A simple gamepad with some MIMO antennas, 600€? R U jocking???
So, I've found my solution:
The range with the antenna has yet to be tested, with 15db instead of 5...
I'm not technician but I expect the range to be somewhere between 1km and 3km... ;o) see you then!

50€ Bluetooth Gamepad, on Amazon

total investment, to have a SkyController: 65€
Tested actual range with standard antennas: 400m
The next step....
15db gain, 40 cm Antenna (about 5€ on eBay)
I'm not technician but I expect the range to be somewhere between 1km and 3km... ;o) see you then!
